Another day in paradise...

Rain, man. It kept coming down today. Rained sideways, down. The clouds were thick, dense. I couldn't find a bright spot anywhere; I looked! I'm f***ed. Let's put it bluntly for a moment. Oh, God. There are Caterpillars everywhere too. It makes the entire patch of land where I live look horrible. Long, hairy worms that have the ability to climb up the sides of your house. Enough to make your skin crawl. Oh, yeah, they're every where you look. Be careful not to step on them. No, not because you're killing a living thing; watch for them, because you don't want to track its guts all over your house. Maybe the rain will  drown them. When they get older they don't become butterflies; they become Gypsy moths. Horrible, eh? It's just a horrible day.

I've got to say: it ain't easy losing your freedom. Reminds me of the story about the bird that had his wings clipped. Or reminds me of the good ole' folks after the Fall. Or leaving Westphalia for good this time, kids. Geezuz. Had it in my hands and didn't care enough. Maybe if I take broken glass and squeeze it really hard, I'll be free by the time the wounds heal. Chances are no. Not today, J-man. You try to be good; you try to do what people want you to do; and in the process, you manage to lose the autonomy that made you the person you've become. I don't like being the bad guy in her movie.

Raining in sheets now. More like nickles. Oh, more like nickles than sheets or drops. Raining down on me. Thing is that I've got to be a good man because that's what I"m supposed to be. Yes, be a good man for the first time in your life for the last time in your life. Guess love trumps all and they don't love me enough.

For some reason, I'm the Caterpillar today; waiting (yet, hoping it doesn't happen) to be crushed by his foot.
